Haven't seen career that long and packed in any racing I've ever played. Regarding single-player, beating Career with all invitational events plus manufacturer proving grounds took me several months. I still don't know even half of what each tweak does, but I know enough to make cars most cars drivable on the track. Personally I came with 0 knowledge into it, and this learning experience was pretty good for me. You can turn off most sim setting, like mechanical damage, tire wear, fuel, along with tons of assists. But at the same time PC2 is very accessible. Clear distinction between real simulation racing and sim-cade experience. And it's all very distinct, unlike Forza Motorsport 7, for example, where most cars are literally same, but differently looking boxes on the wheels. Physics are sublime, races are immersive, cars are highly detailed, ton upon tons of content, no other racing has it. Like in one class you'll be beating AI at 100% difficulty easy-peasy and next race it will be kicking your ass even on 40 difficulty or so on the same track.īut game delivers very refined simulation racing experience. But you'll have to be tweaking it for almost every practice/qualy/race. Honestly, AI is biggest gripe for me and most people who play this game, but since there's very flexible difficulty + aggression sliders, you can finetune it every time, so it's not totally hopeless.

However, since game packs almost every racing discipline you can imagine, it comes with an issue of some classes being unbalanced, weird AI and etc.

It's straight upgrade and improvement in each and every way. PC2 is endlessly better than PC1, no doubt about it.
